We moved to Nederland in June of 2011 as I was called to pastor the First Baptist Church of Nederland. There are so many anxieties about coming to a new community and buying a house. Kay’s hard work provided us much comfort during our time of transition. She really paved the way for us to be able to make our move quickly and confidently into our new home. Kay invested a significant amount of time into our purchase. We only had a limited amount of time to search for a house before my duties began as pastor. Kay spent hours with us, showing us every available house that would fit our family situation. Among the houses she showed us was the perfect one for the Burden family. Kay’s help and hard work did not end with showing the property. She walked us through every step of the buying process, keeping in close communication with us and with the sellers, every step of the way. I appreciate that Kay was always available to us when we had questions or concerns. She went above and beyond the call of duty when it came to making us feel comfortable with the buying process.
